Adoption Policy
To adopt one of our little carpet sharks, please fill out the application, and I will contact you as soon as possible by phone. If you would prefer, you can call to arrange and appointment to meet with me and see the gang. You can also view my adoption contract below before setting an appointment. Please read and make sure you are willing and able to abide by it. I have only one goal at Father Natures, and that is to find forever, loving homes for all our rescued Fuzzies.

Ferrets are a loving, lifetime commitment. Please be sure that this is the
animal for you, your family and your lifestyle!
Your new ferret has the right to professional veterinary care and treatment, as well as medical treatment that prevents disease. Upon receiving your ferret he/she will be current on rabies and distemper. You will be provided with the proper documents attesting to such. It is your responsibility to maintain these shots annually.
All ferrets have the right to life. In those instances where euthanasia is seen as the only moral and ethical option, then it is to be performed with dignity and compassion and in a painless manner at the office of a licensed veterinarian. If the reason for euthanasia is financial, as caregiver, I will contact Father Natures Ferret Rescue to discuss options.
All ferrets have the right to clean water and nutritious food, presented in a sanitary manner. They have the right to live in a clean and stimulating environment commensurate to its intelligence and curiosity. The State of New Jersey requires an Exotic Pet Permit from the Department of Environmental Protection, Division of Fish and Game. It is the new caregivers responsibility to follow up on this permit.
As an adopter of Father Natures Ferret, I hearby promis to provide all of the above. If at any time or for any reason, I cannot continue the proper care required, I will contact Father Natures Ferret Rescue and surrender the ferret back to their care. I hereby attest that I have done research on the care and needs of ferrets as a pet, and fully understand what is required of me as a ferret guardian. I also promis to abide by this contract in its entirety.
Father Natures Ferret Rescue does not charge an adoption fee at this time but, we can not continue to operate without your donations when adopting.
